In-house seminars

A day that doesn't just inform, but strengthens: practical seminars on communication, resilience and dialogue – with art dialogue, mindfulness and plenty of exercises, at your premises.

Three seminars, one common thread: dialogue

Positive Communication and Conflict Resolution

Inner strength at work: handling conflict constructively, strengthening togetherness

Three colleagues laughing together over coffee

Everyday life in daycare is demanding: noise, time pressure, parent meetings, staff shortages – and right in the middle of it all, you, always friendly, always present. No wonder a small misunderstanding sometimes turns into a big conflict.

On this day we take your team out of mere functioning and into a way of working together that truly holds. With positive communication, mindfulness and a method you won't find just anywhere: art dialogue. By looking at pictures together, you learn to share perspectives, tolerate differences and find solutions that work for everyone.

What to expect

  • Positive mindset: From “Whose fault is it?” to “What do we need?” – and reframing beliefs that fuel conflict
  • Appreciative communication: I-messages, naming feelings and needs, phrasing criticism so that it lands
  • Active listening: Mirroring, asking, understanding – even when things get heated
  • Conflict resolution: Recognising stages of escalation, steering early and developing sustainable solutions together
  • Mindfulness: Breath anchors and short rituals to stay centred in conflict
  • Partner exercises and role plays: Trying things out instead of just talking about them – with situations involving parents, team and children
  • Dialogue units: Art dialogue in small groups on “What connects us, what divides us?”
  • Emergency kit: Quick strategies for acute moments of conflict, ready to use right away
  • Team agreement: Every participant goes home with concrete next steps

Your benefits

  • More confident conversations with parents, colleagues and children
  • Less escalation, more solutions
  • Better cooperation and a positive team climate
  • New energy that lasts

Your team deserves a day that doesn't just inform, but strengthens. Get in touch and we'll find the date that suits you.

Resilience through Dialogue

Good conversations – with yourself, with others and with what really matters

A wave breaking on rocks in the surf

Some people stay remarkably clear even in stormy times. Their secret: they have good conversations. First with themselves, then with others, and finally with what really matters to them.

That is exactly what this seminar is about. Resilience is not a character trait but a skill you can learn. The path there leads through dialogue: How do you talk to yourself when the day becomes too much? How do you talk to parents, colleagues and children when nerves are frayed? And how do you talk to your goals so that good intentions turn into real steps? With art dialogue, mindfulness and partner exercises, your teams discover answers that aren't on slides but come from within themselves.

Content

Dialogue with myself: the inner dialogue

  • What do I perceive as stress and anger? Recognising body signals and reaction patterns
  • Tracking down inner drivers and beliefs (“I always have to stay calm”) and reframing them
  • Distinguishing constructive from destructive thought patterns
  • Mindfulness: breath anchor, body scan and micro-rituals for everyday life in daycare
  • Art dialogue: viewing pictures on “What weighs on me, what strengthens me?”

Dialogue with others

  • Clearly naming I-messages, feelings and needs
  • Active listening and mirroring, even in conflict
  • Partner exercises and groups of three with an observer role
  • Setting boundaries and saying no kindly
  • Peer case work: situations with parents, team and children

Dialogue with my goals

  • Activating personal resources and sources of strength
  • The emergency kit: quick strategies for acute moments of anger
  • Distinguishing positive from negative pressure, setting realistic goals
  • Strength plan: concrete next steps and an arrangement with a colleague

Your benefits

  • You recognise early what weighs on you and respond with composure instead of on autopilot
  • You turn pressure into energy and shift from sprint mode to marathon mode
  • You conduct difficult conversations more clearly and with more warmth
  • You know your limits and set goals that suit you
  • Your team gains trust, cohesion and lightness

From Feedback to Real Conversation

Learning dialogic communication, even in difficult times

Many people find it hard to give feedback. And it is even harder to truly accept feedback when pressure is high, the mood is tense and time is short. Often it stays at rules and techniques – but the conversation itself never happens.

In this seminar we go one step further: from feedback to dialogue. Dialogic communication means asking with curiosity rather than judgement, listening in order to understand, and discovering something new together. You learn to phrase feedback in a way that strengthens relationships rather than straining them, and to stay in the conversation even when it gets uncomfortable. With methods from art dialogue you practise exactly that: perceiving perspectives, tolerating differences and thinking with each other rather than against each other.

Content

Attitude: what sustains a dialogue

  • There is no criticism, only feedback: your inner attitude when giving feedback
  • From judging to describing: perceiving what is
  • Curiosity, openness and appreciation as foundations of dialogic communication
  • Self-perception and how others see you (Johari window): what do I see, what do others see?

Understanding: what happens between the lines

  • The four sides of a message (Schulz von Thun) and the iceberg model
  • Relationship level and content level: what are we really talking about?
  • Recognising and defusing trigger words and conversation killers
  • Naming and understanding feelings and needs

Listening and asking: the art of real conversation

  • Empathic listening, mirroring and paraphrasing
  • Asking open and effective questions
  • Art dialogue exercise: looking at a picture together, sharing perspectives, appreciating differences
  • Using silence, pauses and pace in conversation deliberately

Acting: feedback and dialogue in practice

  • Giving and receiving feedback without justifying or defending
  • “Thank you” instead of “well done”: appreciation that lands
  • Conducting difficult conversations: in conflicts, change and emotional topics
  • Conversations with managers, colleagues and teams
  • Working on your own conversation situations from everyday life

Your benefits

  • You conduct feedback and criticism conversations clearly, kindly and honestly
  • You recognise your own patterns and broaden your conversational range
  • You listen in a way that makes the other person feel understood
  • You stay in the conversation and able to act, even in tense situations
  • You strengthen trust, collaboration and an open culture of conversation in your team

Methods and didactics

Experiential and practical: short input from the trainer, partner and small-group exercises, art dialogues, role plays with observation and peer case work on your own topics. What is experienced is reflected on together and translated into concrete conversation steps for your everyday work. All participants receive training materials.
